Oxley College

The College took its name from the famous early Australian explorer, John Oxley, and looks up to the hill named after him. His descendants gave permission for the family crest to be used as the basis of the badge of the Collegewhich incorporates their motto Patientia et Fortitudine—Patience and Fortitude. The College similarly adopted this as its motto.
In 2014, Red Room Poetry Education ran workshops with young Illawarra slam poets Lorin Elizabeth and Zohab Zee Khan and students from Oxley College New South Wales.
The student’s poems have been pinned to this location.
