Darwin Middle School is designed for the primary purpose of providing opportunity. They strive to provide a challenging and innovative learning environment for all students.
In a workshop with celebrated poet Sandra Thibodeaux, Year 9 students were challenged to write poems inspired by 'The Tank'. This location was originally developed as a water storage facility for Vestey’s Meatworks, a then-successful abattoir who operated in Bullocky Point, Darwin. 'The Tank' has since transformed into an undercover gymnasium and open-air auditorium and assembly area at the school.
The students’ poems can be found pinned to this location.
